P.E. Students Go Through Hurdles To Get Hurdles

My Students

I teach physical education at a small rural school. I have Pre-K thru 5th grade. My students are very energetic and love to exercise! They are very diverse but always work well together. When they walk in the gym they are always excited and eager to learn new skills and activities.

My students come from different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.

Their cognitive and physical abilities vary but they always work hard and try to do the best they can! My goal is to help my students enjoy physical activities to the degree that they desire to become healthy and active adults.

My Project

These hurdles will aid my class in many ways. They can help with body awareness concepts and the application of space concepts. We can use them for individual activities, exercise activities, relays, obstacle courses, team games and track events.

The hurdles would also be great to use for stations and conditioning activities.

Relays offer a team activity to running events and the hurdles would be a great way to spice things up.

The catch-n-throw kit would also be a great addition to our P.E. program. We could use it for several different activities or individual use. All of my students would benefit greatly from both of these items.
