Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in our school are a diverse group of individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds, socioeconomic status, and ability levels. Our students come from the local community, but other times may be brand new to this country.
These kids strive to do their best, but need some motivation to succeed on tough days.
Each day, we motivate them with Mustang Money in order to support positive behavior! We recognize that factors outside of the school day that we cannot control, and creating an environment with social and behavioral supports benefits all students.
My Project
The school supplies that we are requesting allow for recognizing positive behaviors across all grade levels. Our newly revised PBIS store focuses on rewarding students for being respectful, responsible, and safe! These tools, such as a stress ball or fidget, will help students focus in the classroom.
The donations to this project will help support the growth and development of social-emotional competencies in students.
As middle school is an ever growing time for development, we want to create a positive culture based on consistent expectations and positive reinforcement. Stress balls can help manage the anxiety of students, while earbuds support the use of our 1:1 technology in the district.
