My Project

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support, or PBIS, is proactive approach schools use to improve school safety and promote positive behavior. As teachers continue to award PBIS points to students exhibiting exceptional behavior, students will redeem these points for different snacks and prizes.

According to research, PBIS leads to better student behavior.

When schools use PBIS, students get fewer detentions and suspensions. There’s also some evidence that PBIS may lead to less bullying. We have a rewards system in effect where every student gets to buy different items from our PBIS Store using points they earned throughout the school year. Students love Takis, candy, fidgets, and pencils. These rewards and larger items will help them buy into the store and earn points through positive behavior!
