Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Sitting on bottoms is overrated; my students learn from doing, not just watching and listening. My students are very active, and it is hard for them to sit still and just listen to lessons. When lessons are delivered through games, fun activities, and fun stories, they love it and learn much, much more. Right now we are completely online distance learning.
I have fourteen girls and ten boys who are all precious and beautiful, and even though they come from a Title I school, they all have the potential to excel in academics, graduate from college, and have very successful careers.
I am the teacher who needs to give them a strong foundation in math, science, PE, visual arts, music, social studies, reading, and writing to make sure their career dreams come true.
My Project
These pattern block sets will foster a love for learning in my students. These sets of 155 wooden blocks have basic geometrical shapes. These sets will boost creative skills of my students by letting them build patterns on their own, or letting them retrace from the given 24 design cards.
This multifunctional learning activity is aptly designed to help my students learn about spatial relationships, color, and number recognition.
The tangram puzzles for kindergartners will make them problem solvers and critical thinkers. The pattern blocks are ideal for home learning during distance learning.
