This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are S.M.A.R.T.! We encourage our students to believe they are studious, motivated, ambitious, responsible, and talented. They are a group of students who are resilient, polite conversations starters with inquiring how to learn more about the people and experiences in their school.

My Project

This professional development provides teachers with the tools to impact student outcomes, especially low-income and high needs students. Board Certified teachers are more effective and produce more educational gains for students.

Board certification allows educators to craft their practices, showcase specialized instruction in the classroom and small groups, and demonstrate dedication to students and learning.

Educators learn more in this process and help to create environments and classrooms with Highly Qualified instruction to better meet student needs for today and beyond.

Schools with Board Certified Teachers are characterized by increased parental involvement and better student outcomes.
