Passionate Journalists Need Equipment!

Help me give my students equipment to empower student voice through journalism and activism. The Canon RF100-400mm and wireless microphones will help students be able to reach a larger audience by producing higher quality videos, podcasts, and photography.

My Project

The journalism program at DSST: is in its fourth year of existence. The students in this budding journalism program deserve access high quality cameras and equipment in order to learn industry standard software and equipment.

Student voice is critical to a healthy school environment, and high quality equipment is essential for empowering students to tell their stories with confidence.

Our program has been honored with a First Amendment Press Freedom Award, which means that all of our student-produced media is authentically for and by students. We need one new camera, a green screen, SD cards, SD card readers, a tripod dolly, and wireless microphones. We appreciate your support in ensuring that our diverse group of students are able to create and share their stories with the world.
