Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a public Title I high school in a school district that serves a diverse, low-income student population grades 9-12.

Our students come from rich, diverse backgrounds and are the pride of our campus!

Many of them are children of immigrants or immigrants themselves.

My Project

This list encompasses some of the best books in 2021 that my students could not stop talking about! So many of them disappear from my shelves because they keep getting passed on to their friends. I even have students come in to borrow books who are not students in my class!

The best books are those that students pass along to friends and family to read!

These books help foster a culture of reading in my classroom and students look forward to their ten minutes of reading time every day!
