Paranormal and Sports: Books That Every Kid Wants!

Help me give my students these wonderful sets of books! The students love to imagine and discuss paranormal experiences and they also love their sports figures!

My Students

I teach at G. W. Middle School in Eleanor, West Virginia. We have 6th-8th grades and approximately 305 students in the whole school. We are one of the smaller middle schools in the county, however, this makes it nice as everyone knows each other.

My students or as I call them "my kids" are some of the brightest kids I've worked with in my eight years of teaching!

My kids are caring, honest, and really try to meet our expectations when given assignments and projects. G.W. Middle students are the best around!

My Project

Students need to learn to read just for the pleasure of reading. If they are continually taught only to read what teachers specify, they will never grasp the beauty of escaping to a different world in a book. I usually purchase library books according to our curriculum requirements, however, students need the freedom to explore other topics and use their imagination.

If I can get just one child to pick up a book and actually read it and love it - we just hooked a reader for life!

G.W. Middle students have an interest in the paranormal and additionally a love of sports so I try to accommodate whenever I can!
