Paper Hygiene Products and Snacks for Honors Chemistry STEM Classroom

My students need supplies that may not classify as traditional school supplies. These supplies include tampons, paper towels, Kleenex, and snacks.

My Students

My classroom is in a selective enrollment math and science academy on the south side of Chicago. My students are historically underrepresented but are highly motivated, and love to explore topics in great detail.

My students love to engage with the world around them, and push themselves to do amazing things in their science classroom.

I want my students to be able to explore science and foster their curiosity for the world around them. This is difficult at times with the supplies we have.

My Project

There are times during the school year when students do not come to school with the items they need. Sometimes it is tampons and Kleenex, sometimes it is snacks and paper towels.

I want to be able to provide a place for students to access these products if they need.

This project will provide my classroom with the supplies needed to fulfill this need for the majority of this next school year.

These supplies are basic, but go a long way to help students be comfortable in the classroom. Being able to provide these type of supplies really makes a difference in my students' lives.
