Help me give my students great laminated task cards. With the beautiful laminator that I received I now can make great task cards and games for my students and cut them with ease with a new paper cutter.
Many of my students are the children of migrant workers, first-generation Americans, and are working hard to realize their parents' dream of a prosperous life in the United States. More than 50% of my students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. My students work hard to achieve in the areas of science, math, and social studies so that they can go on to higher education. For many of my students, they will be the first person in their family to have an education beyond high school. Since more than 50% of my students are English Learners, their reading level is at a 3rd-grade level when they are in 6th grade.
Although this poses challenges for my students, they do not back away.
They work hard every day as we tackle additional math and history lessons in my team taught classrooms. My goal is to help these students receive the best education that they can.
All students want learning to be hands on. By being able to easily cut card stock and laminated games I will be able to have hands-on learning in my classroom. With this project, we will be able to display students work throughout the classroom.
A new paper cutter will help cut prep time down, so we can make sure we are focusing on our students learning.
With 5 different preps, there are a lot of items that need to get cut quickly. Making sure that my students can come in and get started on their work without having to cut the paper down to fit in their notebook. This will help students have a smooth transition into the lesson for the day.
