This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am proud of my empowered students who are determined to engage in at-home activities that let them think, solve problems, and interact with each other during this pandemic. Connections are key to student success. Students want to teach their friends how to cook. Students find ways to stay connected. I will provide shared zoom activities and interactions that focus on student-driven learning.
My Project
At school, breakfast was a pre-cooked meal. It included a bowl of cereal, or a sausage bun, or a toast sweet with fruit on the side. Now students want to improve upon the standard.
That said, students want to show each other how to cook cinnamon waffle sticks, chocolate cupcakes, and pumpkin spice donuts; using the 3 in 1 waffle, cupcake, and donut griddle, Monk fruit sugar substitute and the Zoom students collaboration tool.
Students will create a criteria chart and rubric for the following areas. Online presentation, family taste-test, teach an friend. The instructor will provide examples of waffle sticks, cupcakes, and donuts. The students will use meeting rooms online to discuss what items they have at home to make a spectacular breakfast.
The Throwback Waffle Maker, Kosher Monkfruit Sugar substitute, vanilla extract and easy to clean spatulas will make teaching at home student cooking a breeze. These products are easy to wash, rinse, and dry quickly. I want this experience to provide students with the confidence to show off and encourage others to strive to be the best!
