Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We ended school so abruptly, it was a shock to students, teachers and all our families. Students have been out of school for over a month now. They are currently doing all classwork online using Google Classroom. While the school was able to provide them with Chromebooks and internet access to connect with, it is not easy for them to learn solely on the computer.

Students are reaching out for more to do to keep their minds entertained during this pandemic.

My Project

These books and games will give my students an opportunity to get off the computer and into some hands on learning fun. Students will get books to read at home and games to play with their families. Bonus surprise treats will be added for kids and their parents.

Online learning is not the only way to learn during this time.

Students need time to get of the internet and into a good book and learning activities with their families. This will give them a little reminder that school is still in session even though our physical doors are closed.
