Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students attend a Title 1 school, which means that over 92% live in high poverty but they have a high love for learning. They are hardworking individuals with a passion and drive to do better for themselves. Please let my students promote preserving the environment through mathematics and photo essays. My students love using computers to document their learning, but because of funding, we do not have adequate computers and accessories to use in our classroom.
My students come from high poverty and most do not have the necessary items such as paper and pencils.
A lot of them and their families have been affected by the coronavirus and many are hungry because of loss of work.
My Project
Without proper food and hygiene supplies, it is difficult for students to focus on their learning. Many of my students are in families where their parents or guardians are not working or got laid off because of this pandemic. These supplies will go RIGHT to my students who are most in need. Please help me help them to learn. They are in need and it is in your power to help them and their families during this time of crisis. It is not enough to talk about being kind; we need to actually do it and be kind.
