My Project

”In special education, there’s too much emphasis placed on the deficit and not enough on the strength” is my favorite quote by Temple Grandin. It has always been my goal and passion to provide each of my students with the ability to show the world what they are actually capable of despite their disabilities.

Art provides a creative reason for students to express who they are, these adaptive art supplies will allow each of my students to make their own "palette perfect" masterpieces.

By donating to our project, you are helping provide a way for my students to have the tools to aid them to independently create different art creations. The different types of paper will give the students with sensory disorders a way to enjoy making different projects. The adaptive scissors allow those students who require hand over hand when using regular scissors their independence.

The pencil grip Kwik Stix solid paint pens provides the students who struggle with touching and smelling paints a way to avoid those sensory issues.
