Our school is a hidden gem in the unincorporated community of Willowbrook, CA. My students come to school with a hunger for knowledge and love. Many of my students come from single-parent homes or are being raised by grandparents. At some point, I was a single parent and experienced the toll this carries on a child. I treat each of my students as if they were my own, with love and respect.
My awesome fifth grade scholars bring to school an enthusiasm for learning and are constantly exploring new ideas.
While many negatives loom, I'd like to bring out the positives in each individual student. One of goals is to provide the best learning environment on their individual journeys as lifelong learners in the 21st century so they can become successful citizens.
Thank you for supporting my students in their educational endeavors!
Although this has been a difficult and different year for students, parents, and teachers, we have all been resilient. Usually at the end of the school year, we celebrate our accomplishments. This year is different in that I need to provide my scholars with a celebration we can all participate in since I have in-person students and virtual students learning from home. My students have worked diligently and I want to reward them with an art painting experience as an end of the year celebration.
My goal is to also use this as a therapeutic strategy to help students cope with the many feelings of uncertainty brought upon by the pandemic.
This will be a great opportunity for my students to be creative and whimsical.
