Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach over seven hundred students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade at two Title One schools. My students live in a rural part of South Carolina and come from a variety of diverse backgrounds. This project would support all of the students at both of my schools, including ESOL and self-contained classes.
My students are creative, smart, and eager to have hands-on learning activities that will prepare them to become twenty-first century learners.
I want all of my students to have the opportunity to create artwork with all the materials they need and provide them with a fun, engaging, and hands-on learning environment.
My Project
I am asking for a class set of Uni Posca Paint Markers for my students. The markers will allow my students to add details on a number of materials and textures. Paint markers allow for young artists to have more control than traditional paintbrushes.
I want all of my students to have access to a variety of materials in art.
I want students to have choice of materials when creating their artwork and the opportunity to explore what materials work best for their needs. Please help bring Uni Posca Paint Markers to my art room!
