it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My after school club, Park 21, completes projects around our school in an effort to make the middle school experience more memorable for our students and staff. Some of our projects include: classroom flips, a podcast series, a rock garden, stress-less carts, and more. The materials requested in this project will add to and help us
The rocks, paint, and decorations will help us to finalize some of this year's projects and make a difference in our school community!
The rocks requested in this project will be paired with acrylic paint pens and organized into kits. Kits will be provided to Advisory classrooms in our school and students/teachers will design inspirational/cultural rocks during this time to add to our school rock garden. We had over 50 teachers requested kits, so these additional rocks will help us to reach more classrooms in our building. The paint will help us to finish "flipping" another classroom in our building. In our "flips," my students and I paint the a classroom and add items (LED lights, flags, etc) to make the space more engaging for students. We need this additional gallon of paint to finish one section of the classroom that we started this winter.
Overall, these items will help to make a classroom more exciting and welcoming for students and will help to make our rock garden a true school community project. We truly appreciate your support and know we couldn't complete projects like these without your support.
