Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The school year is coming to a close and our class will be having a paint and picnic party with our families to celebrate. Each student will have family members that attend and will help them paint a picture on the canvases provided by this project. Each painting will have the students name on it in removable vinyl and after our little ones fill their canvas with colors, the vinyl will be removed to show their name in relief to their colorful work.

Positive and creative times with our preschoolers and their families is critical to help them see each other as capable and creative people.

This event will help show our students' families how far they have grown in the last year and some of the art skills they have learned while in our preschool classroom.
