Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach PE to students in grades K-5 in a multicultural school that celebrates diversity. My students enjoy running, racing, biking, bowling, dancing, and tennis. They also enjoy reading, math and playing foursquare and basketball at recess.

All the students at my school are able to eat breakfast at school for free.

Many students are bilingual. A few don't speak English but are making progress every day.

Students at my school are back at school in a new building. In the spring, half attended remotely. This is the first time that all the students are attending for the entire day, including lunch. This year, lunch is free for everyone!

My Project

The Purell I'm requesting is for 4th and 5th grade students who said that they would like to have their own tiny bottle of Purell to keep in their backpacks.

The sticker spots are for students to find their spots on the gym floor more easily.

They work better than plastic dots because the stickers can't be moved around easily. The cone sleeves will be great visuals for students who need reminders-paper can go in the sleeves and the sleeves fit over cones easily. The candy, mechanical pencils and notepads will be great additions to the classroom prize basket that students can choose from to reinforce positive behavior during PE. Students would earn "PE Dollars" that could be used to go shopping for prizes at the end of day, week or month. They would be able to save their dollars for a future prize or save for a prize that costs more than they currently have.
