Ozobots Invading Science Class Part 2

My Students

My 8th graders, from suburban Minnesota, are comprised of a beautiful blend of diverse backgrounds, abilities, and cultures.

My students are creative, thoughtful, full of energy; and ready to take on any challenge!

I want my students to make mistakes boldly, to push through the fear of failure, so that they can learn and grow from each trial. I don't want them to see setbacks as an end, but rather the first step to excellence!

As teenagers, it is daunting for them to take risks, but hopefully with acceptance, care, and compassion they will gain the confidence to risk-takers and achieve their dreams!

My Project

Ozobot will help engage students in a hands-on way with technology where they have the power and freedom to create technology.

Through two-way coding (online and screen-free), students will become 21st century learners engaging in collaborative decision making and innovative thinking.

Though cooperative planning students will develop their social skills by listening to others' opinions, compromising and communicating their own thoughts.

Using Ozobot will allow students to develop their coding and programming in a collaborative environment. The Ozobot online curriculum also incorporates visual arts through the OzoDraw and OzoGroove.

The combination of coding, programming, mathematics, and art will enhance my science curriculum and empower my students to experience STEAM in a fun and engaging way!
