My Students

I teach energetic second grade students in an area with a lot of free and reduced lunches offered. We are a new STEM school that is trying to make the best options available to our students.

I love working with seven and eight year old students because they are so excited about everything!

They love school! They love their friends! They love their teachers! They love math! They love art! It is a wonderful age group, and I feel like they are my own kids. They make me feel loved every day when I come into the classroom.

I have loved the challenge of teaching STEM lessons that are engaging and interactive, and I would love to apply this same engagement and interaction to all areas of my classroom.

My Project

Coding is an essential component of technology skills for our upcoming generation. Many students missed opportunities for coding last year with COVID-19 restrictions and time constraints. Many of my student have not been introduced to coding, as it was not as high a priority during the pandemic year. That means that I am starting from the beginning in coding this year.

Evobots will help integrate coding knowledge and practice in a fun and exciting way that will allow students to experiment and build their skills in a safe classroom environment.
