My Project

I teach in an extremely rural and low income school where students rarely have something new to call their own. We are about to begin a novel where I would like students to be able to annotate as they go as well as be able to put their names inside to claim it as theirs.

Instead of receiving a hand-me-down that will only have to be returned, students should be able to claim something as theirs.

Having a book be that thing is a prime way to increase student engagement.
