Owl Learn More With Real Pellet Experiences

Help me give my students owl pellets to begin the school year with a hands on inquiry activity.

My Project

we strive to give our students the opportunities to learn through asking questions, conducting research, and hands-on projects. I prefer to start each school year with an engaging lesson to teach the Scientific Method while having fun. I have two units I rotate between for the beginning of year units, but sadly we don't have a budget at Halle to supply the students with the necessary materials.

I am asking for owl pellets, dissection mats, cotton balls, laminating pouches, and pencils to get us started right for the next school year.

The students gain experience in life science when dissecting owl pellets, learning about the life cycle and about ecosystems. We also use the pellets to complete a full unit to learn about the Scientific Method through action.

The cotton balls, pencils, and laminating pouches are to replenish materials that have been used this year and are used frequently.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
