Overcoming Dyslexia is Really Great! Now It's Time to Celebrate!

Help me give my students fun treasure box prizes to enjoy as they celebrate their triumphs in overcoming dyslexia and other reading difficulties.

My Project

As a Reading Interventionist, I understand that for children with literacy challenges or learning disabilities, like dyslexia, reading can be an uncomfortable and overwhelming task. My goal is to provide fun treasure box items to allow my students to celebrate their personal triumphs towards overcoming their reading obstacles. I know that all my students will look forward to our weekly celebrations and have a blast choosing their treasures!

I aim to ensure that my students who are working to conquer reading struggles, realize the value of their efforts and remain inspired to persevere.

Keeping our treasure box full of fantastic prizes will enable me to establish a consistent reward system and have weekly celebrations for the entire school year. The excitement of choosing a prize from the treasure box helps to increase engagement and interest in reading intervention activities. Our weekly celebrations work not only as great motivators, but also help establish a positive classroom environment that makes the challenge of becoming an independent reader a more enjoyable experience.
