Over-the-Chair Student Organizers, Electric Stapler & 3-Hole Punch

Help me give my students chair organizers for a "personal mailbox" for papers to go home, homework, unfinished work, or art. An electric stapler and 3-hole punch will help me quickly and efficiently get work prepared for students!

My Students

My students live in rural Alaska where the cost of living is the highest in Alaska. Because of this, many families supplement their incomes with subsistence activities, such as hunting, fishing, and gathering plants. These activities promote hard work, patience, sharing, love of family, respect for nature, and humility. These are traditional values that I incorporate into our daily classroom community.

My students are hard-working, patient, eager to learn, and curious.

They enjoy hands-on activities.

My Project

To help keep items that need to go home separate from the classroom work, these over-the-chair organizers will provide individual access to a "personal mailbox." The intention is for students to organize their paperwork that needs to go home for easy access and a quick visual check for students and teacher. Often times students will leave homework or unfinished work in their cubbies. Having a personal mailbox on the back of each student's chair, will give a visual check when chairs go up on their desks to take any paperwork and get it in their backpacks for home. An electric stapler that uses regular size staples and an electric three-hole punch will help teaching staff to quickly assemble packets and binders for individual work.
