This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our self-contained autistic classrooms, students will benefit greatly from the addition of an outdoor storage cabinet to expand our outdoor classroom. This cabinet will provide a designated space for students to store our new developmentally appropriate outdoor gross motor portable equipment, fostering a sense of organization and accessibility. With easy access to these resources in our outdoor classroom, students with special needs will be able to participate more fully in outdoor and nature activities, knowing that they have the tools they need at their fingertips.

Support for this project will not only enhance the practical, logistical aspects of our outdoor classroom, but will empower independence among our students to have a space to select activities and foster responsibility to keep their materials organized and in a safe, convenient place.

They will develop language skills to identify their social skills, expressing their wants, and needs.
