My students need a space to sit, work, and talk in our school garden. These tables will provide needed space for outdoor learning!
This project expired on November 4, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
We are a Kindergarten through 4th grade Spanish immersion school in Grand Rapids, MI. Students here love to read, write, speak, and listen in 2 languages already at a young age!
From Kindergarten through 4th grade, English-speaking students learn Spanish in order to become global learners.
We encourage cultural competency and environmental care. We love art, culture, food from around the world, reading, writing, communicating with each other, and speaking together in Spanish! Somos una familia aquí en la escuela!
Our school has a special garden space dedicated to a student we lost to brain cancer a few years ago. Teachers and students love the space, but it needs to be spruced up!
Students love to learn outdoors, but our garden benches have gotten too weathered.
Teachers need a safe place for their students to gather in the garden in order to read together, explore nature, do science experiments, and meet in clubs. Picnic tables would offer seating for a full class to work outside in our lovely garden here in Michigan, but the budget here is limiting us. Please help us get safe and inclusive seating for our garden!
