Outdoor Mindfulness Labyrinth

Help me give my students a place to be mindful in an outdoor Labyrinth where they can focus on calming, problem solving, introspection, and intention as they mindfully practice and then finish at a beautiful Toscano bench.

My Students

My students have chosen to come to our alternative high school to complete their high school graduation. Due to the rise in anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation, we are implementing mindfulness into our everyday. We would like to build an outdoor Labyrinth for students to help with calming, problem solving, intention, and introspection.

My Project

The outdoor Labyrinth is divided into 4 paths. Calming, Problem Solving, Intention, and Introspection. As students proceed through the path of their choosing they will be reminded of skills to use, inspiring and motivating words and phrases from past students, and mindful practices. Each path will lead to the center and beautiful Toscano bench surrounding a tree where they can sit in the calm before returning to class or move to a different path. A counselor will be available to the student for questions and conversations. The Labyrinth will be built in a way to be used for many years to come.
