This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a group of amazingly smart and inquisitive first graders!

In first grade, students learn the foundational skills they need to help them be successful throughout their educational careers.

We have a diverse community of students with a high number of English Language Learners.

As is true for schools in many California districts, our school is facing budget cuts which are making it difficult to provide these students with the supplemental supplies they deserve. Any donation will truly change this classroom and provide a deep and enriching school experience.

My Project

Our first-grade classes need recess equipment! We need a full set of recess equipment and a bin to keep them all contained and safe. These balls, jump ropes, and chalk will provide students with safe places to play. Students will get to play and make lasting bonds of friendship through the memories that recess will help create. First graders need brain breaks and there is no better time than recess time!

We also need an umbrella, stand, and clipboards to transform an outdoor table into a learning space.

Our students will be so excited if a donor like you is able to help support our grade level through structured play.
