This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Thank you PNC for this 5X Match to support our youngest scholars we service.

This is exciting opportunity to support our project focused on enhancing mental health and well-being among our youngest students through engaging outdoor learning activities.

Our initiative seeks to foster mindfulness, relaxation, and team building among students through a variety of enriching experiences outside of the typical classroom.

Your donation will directly contribute to activities such as mindful scavenger hunts, where students will develop awareness of their surroundings and practice grounding techniques. Additionally, your support will enable us to provide resources like bubbles for deep breathing exercises, offering students a chance to step outside, unwind, and engage in mindful practices.

Moreover, we aim to promote movement and relaxation through outdoor yoga sessions facilitated by providing yoga mats. These sessions will encourage students to connect with nature while nurturing their physical and mental well-being.

Furthermore, fidgets and sensory tools will be used for students needing moments to self-regulate outside the classroom, with guidance from our supportive staff as they use our outdoor sensory tables. Lastly, we plan to incorporate team-building games to encourage cooperation and interpersonal skills development in an outdoor setting.

Together, we can make a profound difference in the lives of young individuals by prioritizing their mental health and holistic development.
