Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The outdoor balls will help my students develop strong gross motor muscles as they practice and learn how to toss, catch, bounce, dribble, roll, and kick balls. Gross motor muscle development is essential for academic performance.
When children exercise and are physical their brains reap the benefits.
Concentration and memory improve and children's confidence rises. Classroom participation is evident and children overall, are happier.
The outdoor table and floor puzzles require concentration, improving short-term memory, and visual-spatial reasoning. The play dolls will help enhance the children's imaginary play. They can try different roles and be creative and imaginative. The goal of this project is to have the children be physically and mentally active in an environment outside the classroom. This project will help enhance my student's natural ability to be physically active and will stimulate their creative nature. My students are special because they already come with so much creativity but providing materials that enhance their ingenious nature will add benefits that they will carry for the rest of their lives.
