Outdoor Classroom-Part 1

My Project

This past year an unused space has been identified and updated to create a Makers/STEAM/Tinkerer area for our entire school community. This project is phase one, which enable a table with seating for students to design and develop through the lens of "Making".

Brown once said, "We are born makers. We move what we're learning from our heads to our hearts through our hands." At the present time, we have two tables which are falling apart, having this table will enable the school to have sustainable seating with a table. Some of the projects include, making and painting rocks for our school "Kindness Rock Garden." Another activity is centered on sound. Students along with their Science and Music teacher will do lessons aligned to sound from the Exploratorium. Using items located in nature and recyclable items, make and perform with instruments.
