My Students

My students are in a magnet school for gifted and advanced learners. They not only work hard at grade level, but like to work on their advanced needs as well. This special group of students have a variety of needs including social and emotional, academic, and visual spacial. While they focus on academics just as any other student might, they often need very personal and careful attention to what and how they take in information. These students need constant stimulation in the classroom to be successful at their high level of thinking and to not distract from their cognitive process.

Our school looks to promote a healthy understanding of screen time and sit time while our students are learning.

They strive to incorporate a variety of learning styles including how they take in information. Students that can use technology in an innovative way benefits their understanding and connections to their career goals.

Alongside the use of technology we would like to get our kids up and moving! We love to wiggle around and enjoy our active time to help stay fit and stimulate our minds!

My Project

This sports equipment will allow my students to get outdoors and the exercise they need. No matter the age of the student, they all need fresh air with quality gear to practice and be introduced to. The tennis, golf, basketball, football, and soccer items will allow for all student to have something to play with when it is time for them to get out of their chairs and move.

It is essential that students have physical activity during the day to continue to promote healthy bodies and healthy minds.

Working inside all day can be difficult and many students need the stimulation of physical activity to be more productive. This will give students the opportunity to do something when we have time to go outside and enjoy the fresh air.
