My Project

A classroom rug is a very important learning space in the classroom. In my classroom right now we have a rug that was given to us from another teacher. This rug is ripped, fraying, and stained. It has been loved for OVER 6 years and is in desperate need to be replaced.

By donating to this project, you would help create a more welcoming environment and help bring our classroom together.

Most of our learning takes place on the classroom rug. Having a new, bigger rug would make sure all of my students fit comfortably. When students come together as a class on the classroom rug, many skills are being developed, and skills to connect as a classroom family are built.

Carpet time supports early learners' academic and social-emotional skills. On the classroom rug, students will start and end their day. This rug will provide a welcoming and safe environment for current and many future students.
