Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from challenging circumstances, most of my students come from low-income households or foster care. Despite their challenging backgrounds, my students come to class everyday ready to learn.

My job as an educator is to serve my students, and employ them with the tools necessary to be successful in life.

Each day is an opportunity for me to connect my students to the real world, and equip them with knowledge and skills to make logical decisions and participate in society as responsible citizens.

My Project

The materials that I have chosen for our project are typically recognized as basic classroom necessities for Social Studies. As our students learn more about ancient civilizations and geography, I want them to be able to form spatial recognition. The use of a classroom globe will allow me to put into perspective where ancient civilizations began, and how the spread of ideas and culture developed over time. Students should be able to visualize where they live in comparison to places around the world. As the name of our project suggests, I want our students to view the world in color!
