Our Thriving Vegetable Garden Needs Winter Protection

Help me give my students the supplies needed to heat our greenhouse and keep our vegetable crops thriving through the winter.

My Project

In our southern climate, we can grow a great vegetable garden all year. We would love to keep this garden going strong during the cool months ahead. Students have worked diligently to get the plants in the ground soon enough to get a second crop before school is dismissed in the summer.

In the past years, a late freeze would damage our vegetable plants causing us to replant some of our vegetables.

This year we would like to put a heater in the greenhouse to protect the young seedlings from the cold weather. We would also like to cover the plants that are doing so well in the planters.

Our students are excited that their vegetables are about to be mature enough to pick. The carrots are always their favorite. Please help us to keep our gardens growing through the freezing months ahead with a greenhouse heater and the extension cords needed to keep it running.
