Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will allow GRADE 2 to create a model of their dream playground for the field that is across the street from their school. The field is being use by dogs and their owners. We have over 20 dogs in this park and students have not been able to use it due to the dogs taking it over as a dog park.

The goals for the students is to allow them to become a great leader in their community, use their ideas on how to recreate the field into a park where the dog can have a dog park, but students may also use the park again daily.

They will us the Magna Tiles, markers, and blocks to design the field.

Our Grade 2 students are a special bunch. We have students in 4 set classes. A general education class, dual language class (Spanish), ICT class and an ASD class (Students with autism). These students are all unique in their own ways. Our Engineers will make a great change in their school community.
