My students love graphic novels! These wonderful books are colorful, detailed, and very funny. My students can't seem to put them down. They keep their current reading book right on their table. As soon as their assignments are done, they are reading a book!
The highly visual content makes graphic novels more engaging.
The combination of text and pictures captivates them. The beautiful graphics provide context for stories many students might not understand otherwise. I want to fill our bookshelves with books that they love as well as with books their peers are reading. With a larger selection of books in our library, my students will be able to read and enjoy books every day.
