My students need 12 brand new keyboard synthesizers for our piano class due to the majority of them being damaged and not usable.

“After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.” ― Aldous Huxley. I teach choir, band, piano lab and music appreciation to a population of very intelligent and talented students. The majority of students come from low-income households. They also come from culturally diverse backgrounds and face challenges on a day to day basis in their communities.
I would like my students to continue to be provided the opportunity to receive the best music education possible!
The music classroom needs to be a comfortable place. It needs to be engaging, current, and innovative in order for them to experience music to its best capacity.
Our students are in need of NEW keyboards! The keyboard synthesizers will be used in piano lab music class for the students to play that have a high interest in learning how to play the piano. The majority of piano class students are beginners, and new keyboards have not been purchased in over 10 years. The students deserve fully working and functioning keyboards.
The condition of instruments along with musical equipment are very important in music education and developing musicians.
We will be using the keyboards with broken/missing keys and buttons along with students sharing keyboards until we are able to purchase/fund new ones.
