Our Outdoor Classroom

My students need weather kits, maps, and rain gauge to make our weather station in our outdoor classroom successful. The weather kit will be so awesome and really make the students feel like weather scientists!!

My Students

When life throws you a rainy day, play in the puddles!!! I teach an energetic group of students that love to learn! When I say energetic, I mean FULL of energy.

We are a very small Elementary school in a rural area, with a little less that 250 students.

We are working on creating an outdoor classroom to allow our student to get their hands on activities and learn.

Every student learns differently but I feel like everyone learns when they are engaged and interested in an activity that is fun!!

My Project

These materials for our outdoor classroom will make a difference in my students' learning and improve their school lives by giving them an escape from the everyday classroom environment.

The weather scientist kit will allow the students to get the real effect of a weather expert.

As the students explore and experiment with the materials at the weather station, I feel that they will understand how different types of weather effect the earth.

Because the outdoor classroom provides a "getaway" from the indoor, everyday classroom, behavior issues will not be as big of an issue. Students will be able to use their "outside voices" and be able to explore at different stations.
