Our Makers Need Supplies!

Help me give my students a wide variety of supplies they can use in our makerspace.

My Students

There are 1125 students at my middle school. When I began working here 3 years ago, we started a makerspace in the media center. Over the past few years, students have used the supplies in the makerspace for different classes and now we need to replenish them.

My Project

We have a makerspace in the media center and we need help restocking it with a variety of supplies.

The makerspace offers students the opportunity to get hands-on with learning.

It also fosters critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.

However, for it to be successful the makerspace needs to have lots of different supplies available. To make matters worse, we did need to get rid of some of our supplies because of Covid-19 and we do not feel comfortable accepting donations from homes yet.

Now, as we look toward next year and having students back in the building, we want the makerspace bulging at the seams with supplies for our students.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
