Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As students at our elementary we must speak the truth about our school, the students are creative, artistic, smart, kind, energetic, funny children that are willing to work hard and get the job done.

We put a lot of effort into what we do on a daily basis.

We have great and helpful staff that care for us and help keep us safe. Fun fact we are the only elementary school in Mentone! We actually got a award, we don't know what for but we did.

Note: This is a service learning project developed by Mrs. Pirritano’s fifth graders.

My Project

Our library needs new books. We need new books because some of our old books are held together by tape, and are falling apart every minute of each day. We have also read most of the books more than one time so, were running out of good books to interest us. These new books will hopefully boost the comprehension of others, and help the students look at the world from a different point of view. Horror will be a good genre for all those who seek the horror thrills in books that we need, for our school library. Hopefully we get the books that we need to boost interest and comprehension.
