Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
At Mentone we are called the colts which is a small horse. Students here are unique, creative and kind. We always follow the A,B,C of Mentone. We accept responsibilities, we always be respectful, and will choose kindness.
At Mentone we have really awesome readers.
Also we are polite we say please and thank you at lunch. At recess we respect our equipment with care. We listen to our teachers, staff and principals. Mentone is small but we are one of the best schools with the best students!

We need new books in our library.
The first reason is because they are really old and ragged. Some of the books are boring because of they’re old and we cannot relate to what the book is saying. Also, we reread the library books a lot, plus there are a lot of new books that have come out and would be cool for us to check out from the library. Another reason we need new books is because they sometimes the library has a book series, but some of the books in the series are missing and then we don’t have the rest of the series. Many of the books have rips and tears and they are difficult to read. I hope you enjoy our reasons why and help us get some new books for our school library.
