Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in our band have been working hard to expand the program and have been doing a wonderful job at it. Every year they raise the bar and work hard to jump over it.

We are a small (but growing) band in a medium-large high school in rural California.

The community is very supportive of the students as is the school administration.

We perform at local events and travel to competitions in our area to give the students a chance to showcase their accomplishments.

My Project

We are requesting a box of six Manhasset music stands. Our band is growing quickly and we are running out. It has gotten so bad that we have brought some old, beat up music stands out of retirement.

It is so much easier for our students to make music if they are not fighting with music stands that won't stand up straight or fall over if someone happens to look sideways at them.

These music stands will also be used by our string orchestra and guitar classes, so they will benefit a lot of students for many years to come.
