Their sound has become more rich and clear as a result of having a higher quality of reed.\r\n\r\nWhen the reeds finally came in, the students were very eager to open them up and start using and playing with them! One student even said \"I CAN FINALLY PLAY THE WAY THAT I WANT!\"\r\n\r\nThe next step for my class is to take the tone that they are now better equipped to produce and use them to create a beautiful sound the audiences can enjoy!\r\n\r\nThese reeds were used for our marching band season, where they helped our students to earn FIRST PLACE in our division championships this past weekend!\r\n\r\nThank you all again for your support of my students and their music program. For months my students would ask me for a capo to try the exercises in our curriculum that required capos and I would make them share the one that I had. This meant most wouod just skip the excercise. Once the capos you funded came in I placed them in a basket on my piano before class and then told the students to go to an exercise that required them. They were very excited and the engagement was the highest I have seen all year. \r\n Our students are learning how to change strings on the guitar, an essential skill for all guitar players. They are amazed at how much improvement new strings make on the sound of their instruments. It is as if we have been given new instruments. Some guitars are finally fully strung with the correct strings which is preventing long term damage to the istrument as well. \r\n Thank you with all my heart to the Donors for helping my classroom grow with providing essential materials that were desperatly needed to help student reach their potiential.","fullyFundedDate":1760693725008,"projectUrl":"project/nylon-strings-capos-for-student-guitar/9697558/","projectTitle":"Nylon Strings & Capos for Student Guitarist","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sanchez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2906173_orig.jpg?crop=432,432,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757434023819","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2906173"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_40310","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1855,"numTeachers":81,"percentFrplEligible":64,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":9,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":75,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"22.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":49.3,"schoolId":40310,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Patterson High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Patterson High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/patterson-joint-unified-school-district/patterson-high-school/40310"}
