I work with a fantastic group of third graders. My students come from a variety of backgrounds. Our class is made up of students with all different personalities and abilities. Many of the students in our classroom are English language learners, have special needs, or come from challenging backgrounds. Despite the differences in my students, they have something in common: they all love to learn! My wonderful kids work so hard day in and day out to learn reading, math, and other subjects. I feel my students deserve the best of everything! They are a super bunch of kids!
My Project
There are some book series that stand the test of time with students year after year. Three of the top favorites of my students are Dog Man, Dork Diaries, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. These books are great for the students that are moving from picture books to chapter books. The kids love them because they are funny.
I want all my students to learn to love reading.
One way I want to do that is to provide books for my students. These books will be given to students to take home and build their own personal libraries. During I love to read month, they will be given the opportunity to "shop" for a brand new, free book of their choice. Thank you for supporting my growing readers.
