Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 7th grade students work hard in all that they do. In our class we not only focus on academics, but also citizenship and being a great student, peer and friend. They understand that their job is to come to school and do their best in all that they do. With their hard work and dedication, my students "get paid" by earning tickets when they demonstrate their best work and good citizenship.

My students demonstrate the responsibility of maintaining their tickets and financial responsibility by budgeting for their upcoming purchases.

On a bimonthly basis, they are able to "save" their tickets and allow them to accumulate or redeem their earned tickets in our classroom store. Our classroom store is stocked with various items that they enjoy and look forward to making their own "purchases".

With having 6 classes and 178 students , it gets difficult to maintain a fully stocked classroom store. With the help of donors, we will be able to maintain our store with various treats and items along with giving my students the drive to do their best.
