What, NO printer in a classroom? A printer is a basic necessity nowadays.
I am the teacher of 22 energetic kindergartners in a high needs community and low performing district.
Everyone at our school receives free breakfast and lunch.
My students get excited about pretty much everything, just as I do! They will love being able to type "hunt and peck for five year olds" their writing and being able to print it out.
My students will be able to create and print their own work with this printer. The printer with toner will help to build self esteem with my kindergarten students.
These donations will also allow me to print more learning materials. Since we have implemented the common core standards there are a lot of new things to print. I will be able to print things that will help my struggling students, as well as, challenge the students who need it.
I spent this past academic year without a printer.
There were many things I needed to print on a daily basis but could not. I either had to rely on a colleague or wait to print it when I got home from work. It interfered with completing tasks in the classroom. So many resources are digital and having this printer will allow me to quickly print them for my classroom. This printer is a basic staple in a classroom. Without one, it makes teaching difficult. Your help is appreciated!
