My Students

Every morning I am greeted with a class full of eager and smiling faces! Teaching in a Title I school means that every day comes with new challenges for my students and their families, and the pandemic makes those even more arduous, but it also makes their successes that much more meaningful, and every smile that much brighter.

My students are wonderfully creative, enthusiastic about learning, caring and supportive towards each other, and driven to “be the best we that we can be!” They genuinely enjoy coming to school, and not only do I get to see their creative and silly sides, but their dedication and perseverance as well.

They push forward every day, despite the pandemic. We start our day with a morning meeting where we discuss either an academic, social or emotional goal, what it looks like to succeed at that goal, and how, together, we are going to get there. They continually expand their critical thinking and problem solving skills, while maintaining their inquisitive and imaginative nature. With a lot of hard work from them, and some creativity on my end, they consistently show exponential growth.

My Project

I would like to bring Osmos's into our classroom to give the students a different type of technology for our centers. The students use centers for both math and ELA. Osmos are great for differentiated learning. I can set them for different levels as well as it would be a great tool for me ELL student who came into this school year speaking zero English.

Osmos will encourage independent work on the student's individual levels by incorporating blended learning into the classroom.

The programs are an interactive learning experience that will instantly show students their errors for corrective feedback to help them learn from any mistakes as they go through the lessons and activities.
