Our wonderful kids at our Medina, Texas school love any opportunity to get involved with sports! Being that we are in a rural location, there are not many opportunities for these kids to get involved with sports at the elementary ages. In my PE class I try to incorporate every sport that I can, to help my students get involved and learn the basic fundamentals.
I teach at a very small school and therefore our resources are also small.
I believe that when a child learns to dribble a ball down the court it builds confidence. Building the confidence in our students is key in the success of their future!
This project is the start of building a successful start to our whole program here at our school. This project is based on basketball and being able to set up drills and build basic fundamentals for my elementary students.
Building confidence at an early age is the key to success in their future with anything that they do!
I will be able to teach them basic skill such as dribbling with their eyes up and not running into each other by having them dribble around cones while going to the basket!
